Boo Williams' 17-Under AAU travel basketball team completed a 3-1 weekend in the third session of the Nike EYBL held in Houston, Texas by defeating Team Texas, 75-59 on Mother's Day.

Once 2-6 overall after a winless weekend in Lexington, Kentucky, Boo's bunch improved its chances to qualify for Peach Jam greatly by upping their overall record on the EYBL circuit to 5-7.

BWSL opened the weekend in Houston by defeating Mac Irvin Fire, 84-73. DeShawn Corprew, formerly of Princess Anne High School and Cox High School in Virginia Beach, led the way with 24 points on 10-of-15 shooting and grabbed six rebounds.

Curtis Jones of Huntington Prep (WV) added 18 points on 4-of-9 shooting from long distance. Jahnathan Maxwell, who began his career at Landstown before transferring to Genesis Academy, chipped in 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting and collected seven rebounds. Devante Carter, a Class of 2017 guard that missed the first two sessions of the EYBL due to a wrist injury, supplied 10 points and seven rebounds. Maury's Matt Coleman handed out 10 assists with only one turnover.

In their second game, BWSL was taken down by PSA Cardinals (NY), 64-52. Coleman and Jones, who played in Virginia at Highland Springs and Paul VI, scored 15 points apiece. Maxwell, who wasn't on the team during the first two sessions of the EYBL, grabbed 11 rebounds.

Perhaps BWSL's most complete performance of the spring thus far came on Saturday night against Pro Skills, where they built a lead of 24 points and showed off a balanced attack with five different players scoring at least six points in the first half. In the 73-53 triumph, Corprew once again starred with 19 points on 9-of-11 shooting to go with seven rebounds, while Jones contributed 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field.

Coleman, rated a four-star prospect and #17 overall by Rivals.com, had 14 points on 7-of-12 shooting to go with six assists and three steals. Blue Ridge's Scott Spencer, a former Nansemond River product, scored 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Maxwell and Donald Butler controlled the backboards, combining for 13 rebounds.

Corprew put the cap on a 3-1 weekend with a dominant performance vs. Team Texas, tallying team-highs of 21 points and 14 rebounds. Jones went 3-of-7 from beyond the arc in scoring 17 points. Coleman finished with 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting to go with three assists. Spencer chipped in eight points and Maxwell pulled in eight rebounds.
