The rain stopped just before the game started and Yorktown chose to play off the Westfield receivers for the entire game, and it cost them. The WF passing game was extremely efficient and, balanced by a solid run game, enabled WF to come away with a 49-6 win to open the playoffs.

WF received the opening KO and started at their own 27 yard line. They quickly marched down the field and opened the scoring with a 4 yard Daniel TD run to go ahead 7-0 (Nugent XP) with 8:20 to play in the first quarter. Yorktown took the following KO to their own 21 yard line, but WF's Hinton soon intercepted Yorktown's Wilson at the Yorktown 34. Just a few plays later WF's Kim found Morin for a 16 yard passing TD and WF extended the lead to 14-0 (Nugent XP) with 7:06 to play in the first quarter. Yorktown started their second possession on the Yorktown 28 yard line and put together a strong drive into the WF red zone, but then found themselves facing a 4th and 23 at the WF 31 yard line, where the pass fell incomplete. WF countered with a 69 yard drive capped by another Daniel running TD, this one also from 4 yards out, and WF extended the lead to 21-0 (Nugent XP) with 9:18 remaining in the second quarter. On the first play of the next Yorktown drive, WF's Dishun leaped to intercept a Wilson screen pass and WF had the ball on the Yorktown 29 yard line. WF's Clancy finished this drive with a 4 yard run and WF was now up 28-0 (Nugent XP) with 7:05 to play in the half. Yorktown went three and out on their next possession and punted the ball to WF, who started on their own 35 yard line. Reaching Yorktown territory and threatening to score again, a Kim to Woodley pass was tipped and Yorktown's Balla came down with it on the 10 yard line, then scrambled to midfield. After a WF penalty on the run back pushed the ball to the WF 38 yard line, Yorktown could not move the ball and faced a 4th and 5 at the WF 33; on the 4th down play Wilson was sacked to kill the drive. WF then went 69 yards and scored on a 26 yard Kim to Morin pass and the WF lead was now ahead 35-0 with just 18 seconds left in the half.

Yorktown received the second half KO and started at their own 20 yard line. After three plays they were forced to punt and the short kick gave WF great field position at the Yorktown 44 yard line. Three plays later WF's Daniel got his third rushing TD of the game, an 18 yard run up the middle, and WF extended their lead to 42-0 with 8:12 to play in the third quarter (at this point, WF went to its bench defensively). Yorktown would use this possession to march 65 yards in 4 plays, with Balla scoring on a 1 yard run to get Yorktown on the scoreboard, 42-6 (Garufi XP blocked by WF's Myers) with 6:12 to go in the third quarter. WF's next drive went 67 yards and closed out the scoring when Kim found Morin for a 15 yard passing TD and the score went to 49-6 (Nugent XP) with 11:18 remaining in the game. After Yorktown went three and out, WF used the ground game to run out the clock.
