Final: Tazewell 245, Graham 185

The real story is how bad and unprepared Tazewell looked .. they decided to huddle instead of signaling and had numerous delay of game penalties. They prob spent the week looking for ways to get Graham players kicked out instead of actually preparing for football .. they have ZERO running game and way too many random formations ,, kids couldn’t get lined up. Yes the penalties were bad but a bunch of it was phantom flags back and forth flopping .
I agree. They seemed disorganized for the 9th game of the season. They run out of the shotgun all the time and I think they were trying to run the play clock down quite a bit to play keep away. I can't wrap my head around what Tazewell is trying to do when I watch them play. I just assume they like to throw the ball and it is very hard to run out of the shotgun

Peyton Lewis and Chris Cole

Peyton Lewis scored for Tenn. and Chris Cole very good game on defense for Georgia both true freshman.
Lewis 8 carries for 24 yds and the Vols lone TD so far. Cole has had back to back solid games for the Dawgs against Texas and today against the Gators. I think he ended up with 3 tackles and 1 assist today. Good for both of them.

Lafayette 56 York 6

It certainly should be a good game, but I tend to favor Lafayette. But only by a point or so.
I hope the fans will turn out. A game of two 9-0 teams deserves good crowd support.
It’s a Thursday night game so the crowd size will be unpredictable. It was hoped the Friday night game between Warhill at 0-9 Jamestown would switch but no such accommodation happened. Let me say now, these stadiums shared by multiple schools are a real pain in scheduling.

Varina vs Highland Springs

I agree @BoKnowsSports, but you guys have your fingers on the pulse of all of 804 football. Just don't have the overall knowledge to go toe toe anymore.

I do disagree with you regarding the appeared separation gap. We shall see.
The separation gap to me is VHS, Din, Hug tier 1.

KG tier 2

Tier 3 Everyone else. Hanover might have the juice to surprise someone.

Final: Tazewell 245, Graham 185

If will be tough for Graham to past Union with that kind of lack of discipline. Graham's A game is better than any team in Class 2. But their offense is not good enough to overcome discipline issues 3 times in a row in games 3, 4, and 5 of the playoffs. They will get caught on of those games if they play with lack of discipline and turnover inside there own territory deep. I understand Graham has been solid at not turning over deep inside their own territory. If they have a game in games 3, 4 or 5 where the discipline issues show up and they have 1 or 2 deep turnovers in their territory leading to an easy 10 or 14 points for the opponent, they will caught.

If Graham fixes the penalty problems and doesn't turn over deep in their own territory, they will go 15 and 0. Defense is too good for any Class 2 team to go down the field consistently for 3 sustained drives. Maybe 2, but not 3 in one game.
Graham averaging 33 pts a game offense and giving up 5 on defense —- but let yall tell it they are down and struggling

Final: Tazewell 245, Graham 185

Nobody was ejected, but I agree. Maybe they should have ejected a couple. There was a scuffle early on and a couple of ejections on both sides could have easily been
Reading that there were 57 total penalties in that game, counting the declined and offsetting. Count Graham out of the running, they can't get out of their own way. A decent team will beat them soundly.
soundly huh ?! Like who ? Union never crossed midfield except for the broken coverage long TD run — Va High took a kick off back and the returner stepped out of bounds and then fumbled into his teammate who scored — tazewell game was one sided .. should have been 60-0 .. Tazewell had a 50 minute 17 play drive in 1st qtr and the referees were throwing phantom flags on 3rd and 28 and 4th and 14 of that drive - they were doing everything they could to keep the bulldogs in that game last night - the teams didn’t shake hands after the game and the head coach of Tazewell gave middle fingers to Graham afterwards.. show some class tho !

Washington-Liberty 28 Langley 14

It was Matt Abramson to Jon Malatesta for all four touchdowns as the Generals are on the cusp of their first unbeaten regular season since 1956. Langley had cut a 21-0 deficit to 21-14 before W-L put it away with a fourth quarter score. All three W-L touchdown drives in the first half had a short field after thanks to some Langley miscues and W-L recovering one of their own kickoffs, and then a roughing the punter penalty kept their game-sealing drive alive.

STICK A FORK IN THEM

@Phoebus Fan what part of illegal do you not understand? It takes time to prove guilt without a shadow of doubt! I can't speak for the VHSL, but anyone who has investigated anything surely wouldn't attempt to prosecute without all the facts. Timing? Are y'all saying it's okay to cheat, win and then punish later? Think about that for a second. I ain't buying the "poor" kids stuff either. They knew they didn't live in Hayfields zone. It's the abuse of the AAU system at its finest.
