Final: Tazewell 245, Graham 185

Graham averaging 33 pts a game offense and giving up 5 on defense —- but let yall tell it they are down and struggling
Graham struggled with Union, a short handed V High team and Lebanon. Everybody else on the schedule were cupcakes. I'm not going to sugar coat anything. Graham's offense struggles against quality opponents and it will end up being their downfall Sure those stats look good, but when you look at who they have played and factor in over 100 yards in penalties per gamei, t's not nearly as impressive. Defensively, they are better then last season. Offensively, last year, they were much better

Final: Tazewell 245, Graham 185

He also had the tazewell kids chop block all night going at the knees of our defensive line. Shouldn't expect a little league Coach that graduated to the high school level to have any class.

Honest question - are chop blocks against the rules with the VHSL?

I assume you are calling a chop block what we used to call it.. basically just diving at the legs below the knees.

Or are you saying something different happened?

Final: Tazewell 245, Graham 185

If will be tough for Graham to past Union with that kind of lack of discipline. Graham's A game is better than any team in Class 2. But their offense is not good enough to overcome discipline issues 3 times in a row in games 3, 4, and 5 of the playoffs. They will get caught on of those games if they play with lack of discipline and turnover inside there own territory deep. I understand Graham has been solid at not turning over deep inside their own territory. If they have a game in games 3, 4 or 5 where the discipline issues show up and they have 1 or 2 deep turnovers in their territory leading to an easy 10 or 14 points for the opponent, they will caught.

If Graham fixes the penalty problems and doesn't turn over deep in their own territory, they will go 15 and 0. Defense is too good for any Class 2 team to go down the field consistently for 3 sustained drives. Maybe 2, but not 3 in one game.
I agree with your assessment. I think that Graham's defense is fantastic. If there's a better defense in 2A, I'd love to see it. However, the offense is inconsistent and the amount of penalties is flat out ludicrous. That will be their downfall

Final: Tazewell 245, Graham 185

The real story is how bad and unprepared Tazewell looked .. they decided to huddle instead of signaling and had numerous delay of game penalties. They prob spent the week looking for ways to get Graham players kicked out instead of actually preparing for football .. they have ZERO running game and way too many random formations ,, kids couldn’t get lined up. Yes the penalties were bad but a bunch of it was phantom flags back and forth flopping .
I agree. They seemed disorganized for the 9th game of the season. They run out of the shotgun all the time and I think they were trying to run the play clock down quite a bit to play keep away. I can't wrap my head around what Tazewell is trying to do when I watch them play. I just assume they like to throw the ball and it is very hard to run out of the shotgun

Peyton Lewis and Chris Cole

Peyton Lewis scored for Tenn. and Chris Cole very good game on defense for Georgia both true freshman.
Lewis 8 carries for 24 yds and the Vols lone TD so far. Cole has had back to back solid games for the Dawgs against Texas and today against the Gators. I think he ended up with 3 tackles and 1 assist today. Good for both of them.

Lafayette 56 York 6

It certainly should be a good game, but I tend to favor Lafayette. But only by a point or so.
I hope the fans will turn out. A game of two 9-0 teams deserves good crowd support.
It’s a Thursday night game so the crowd size will be unpredictable. It was hoped the Friday night game between Warhill at 0-9 Jamestown would switch but no such accommodation happened. Let me say now, these stadiums shared by multiple schools are a real pain in scheduling.

Varina vs Highland Springs

I agree @BoKnowsSports, but you guys have your fingers on the pulse of all of 804 football. Just don't have the overall knowledge to go toe toe anymore.

I do disagree with you regarding the appeared separation gap. We shall see.
The separation gap to me is VHS, Din, Hug tier 1.

KG tier 2

Tier 3 Everyone else. Hanover might have the juice to surprise someone.
