Rappahannock had an interesting circumstance involving their game vs Essex last year. They had a period where they hadn't played a game in a month coming into the Essex game. They played Westmoreland on 9/8 and didn't play again until 10/8. Long time with no action so feel that contributed to that score. Also Rappahannock did add Kenneth Maddison back to their roster who I would say is one of the best RBs in 1A let alone the NNK. Games are won on the field and Essex has earned the right for their fans to feel how they feel! See you Oct 11th!

This is false. If he touches the ball and does not posses the ball it is a muff and remains a kick. And if it goes into the end zone it is an automatic touchback. If he possess the ball then it is no longer a kick and becomes a fumble.

Not that I expect them to have any great success but at least they will be playing mostly schools that are about the same size as they are. They need to do something with Liberty. They won't have a sports program if they continue to be in the Seminole District.

EC Glass will be improved. They only lost 2 seniors, so a good group with a lot of chemistry comes back. They have had a very good summer. Not sure if they will beat the Handley's and Charlottesville's of the world, but a state tournament bid is definitely possible. Plus DJ Best is an excellent coach.

I hear you and scheduling has gotten progressively worse over the years. As for a team from the Valley, honestly its going to be even more difficult in my opinion because we move to 9 schools in the Shenandoah district next year. That only leaves two dates open for OOD games. I am not a huge fan of significant travel during the season but several teams have done home and home series with teams as far as 3 hours away. It sucks as a fan and as much as we would like to see more of this to get some in season matchups, logistically it's costly for the schools which I am sure plays into it.
