Galax won last night 12-0 in 60 minutes. I didn't know there was overtime in the post-season? Maybe both coaches agreed.
GW won over Fort Chiswell 3-1. They will off once more tonight at GWHS...a place Galax struggled earlier this season.
Tonight Auburn will face Perry McClure while Radford plays Bath Co.

PM beat Narrows 8-0 Monday night in BV. Any idea who Bath played and what the score was?

Gotcha. Thanks! Is there anywhere online we can look at the full schedule/results for baths and pm?

I don't believe they post on the district site. They both did lose last night to Auburn and Radford respectively. So now we have a really exciting rematch for the final.
Galax beat GW last night to win the conference.

Honaker defeated Patrick Henry 3-1 yesterday and claimed the Crooked Road Conference #1 seed in the regionals with the victory.

From last night:
conf 43:
#1 Essex 8-0 over #4 Lancaster
#2 Rappahanncok 2-1 over #3 Rapp County
Conf 42.
#3 Middlesex 5-4 over #2 West Point in penalty kicks

Here's how the 1A West Region shapes out

Quarterfinals May 30, Monday

1. Conference 47 runner-up (Patrick Henry) at Conference 46 Champion (Galax) at 6:00

2. Conference 46 runner-up (George Wythe) at Conference 47 Champion (Honaker) at 6:00

Semi Finals

June 1, Wednesday at Radford High School

Winner game 1 v. Conference 45 Champion (Auburn/Radford) 5:30

Winner of game 2 v. Conference 45 runner-up (Auburn/Radford) 7:30

So, the winner of tonight's Conference 45 Championship has a very good chance (probability) of facing Galax while the runner-up will face one of two solid squads in Wythe (who played Galax tightly last night) or Honaker (don't know how to size them up)

Best I can tell Honaker has one solid kid scoring. The rest just kind of play to him. He's been out there a long time too. He was a starter back in 2014 when GW played them. I can't recall the name right now, but he is in the stat line this season.

From what I am reading, Riverheads will end up playing Altavista again for the first round of the regional tournament? Not really sure how that works..

Same for us. We play Rappahannock in the conference final tomorrow night and In the regional quarter finals on Monday

Radford beat down Auburn 4-1 last night. Radford is just a team that can turn it on in the post season. I wouldn't be shocked if they beat Galax a second time should they meet again.
Now the real fun begins. I think I'm gonna catch Blacksburg v. Christiansburg tonight, but this 1A postseason is about to get a lot more heated!

That is odd...Not how the West does it at all. Suppose that is the reasoning though.

The West, a majority of teams are within a couple of hours of one another. Only PM, Covington and Bath that I can think of are kind of out there away from everyone else.

Essex defeated rivals Rappahannock tonight 3-1 to win the Conference 43 title. Both teams will rematch each other Monday in the regional quarterfinals.

In 1-A East, they send eight teams to the regionals, two each from Conferences 41-44. After the conference championships, they "seed" the teams based on the state rating scale. So in the case of Riverheads and its baseball and soccer opponents, it just worked out that the first-round regional games will be re-matches of the conference finals. In baseball, RHS is the number two seed and conference rival Luray finished as number seven in the region. In soccer, the Big Red is unbeaten and seeded number one whereas Altavista is number eight. Anything can happen when you get to the playoffs, but on paper the baseball re-match looks like it will have a lot more potential to be competitive than the soccer will be.
