West Potomac vs Charlottesville would be a great second round matchup. Might be the two best teams in the tournament. And play a similar style. Could be high scoring

Definitely could be a great match-up...I just hope we don't play Western at any point in the tournament, that could be the first of possibly four of five meetings between Charlottesville and Western Albemarle this year. I am greatly pulling for Stafford.

Could happen. 5A Stafford is better than their record indicates. Outside of that matchup (WA vs Stafford), I don’t see any of the first round games being very competitive. Semi finals and Finals should be a good ticket.

Great final day of basketball. Hburg-Monroe girls started the day with OT thriller. Western looked like they were going to run WestPo out of the gym before holding off a big time comeback. Albemarle girls dominated our girls with a 3-2 zone, we looked very uncomfortable. Our boys trailed 21-10 early in the 2nd, battled back to tie at 30 at half. Led 49-47 going to the 4th and held off AHS in the 4th for a 61-56 win. Jake Bowling, 22(5 three balls), and Tourney MVP Zy Faulkner, 18, led CHS in scoring. AHS star player, 6'6 junior, Josh Morse got in early foul trouble and Zay Washington and Christian Stewart did a great job defending him all night and keeping him away from any easy buckets. Morse still scored 20 to lead the Patriots.

Charlottesville boys will host Harrisonburg Friday night before traveling to Western Albemarle and hosting Louisa next week. Still have 2nd meetings with each of those 3 teams plus Albemarle and two meetings with EC Glass in Jan-Feb. Lot of tough games left but very good 8-0 start for us.
