What an awesome game to watch! Both teams played very hard. I want to congratulate both teams and tell them how proud I am of them. Coach Lovell and Coach Mongold both did an awesome job of coaching their teams this entire year! Next year will be fun to watch as TA, Broadway and Spotswood will all be very good again. Way to go TA! You earned your State Title by never giving up! Awesome job Broadway, you never quit no matter what! TWO GREAT TEAMS!

Congrats to Coach Lovell and the Lady Knights on State Championship #3!!!!!! What an incredible gut check by the kids tonight after being down most of the night. You took Broadway's best shot and punched it right back when it counted.

Congratulations to Turner Ashby. What a great season! And the Valley District, what a District. TA, Broadway and Spotswood. Wasn't TA the 3rd place finisher in the Conference 29 tourney behind Spotswood and Broadway? How much do those 3 teams lose next year? Is there anyone out there who can unseat the Valley Dynasty?

All 3 of those teams have a lot returning, so it should be another 'dogfight' to see which 2 of those 3 make it to states.

It's almost like SWVa, with Floyd, Gate City and Central-Wise - only 2 can make it to Richmond each year.

Head coach for T.A. Rob Leavell was JV coach at Page Co.in early 90's....some fine coaches have come from that school...namely, Chris Dodson at Spotswood, Paul Comer at East Rock and Leavell at T/A
