I'm curious to know if anyone have the knowledge of the 3a west playoff seedings? Factor in that ''What if" this team loses and etc. I Know a few teams have basically locked in a few spots or the area they are most likely they will fall in but who knows?

The official seedings will be out today on VHSL official website.
I do unofficially have Magna Vista as #1 Brookville and Western Albemarle tied at #2 with Brookville holding tie break for head to head win. I haven't figured anything past that though. I have MV falling to the #4-6 area with a loss to GW Friday. Western Albemarle taking over #1 with the win at Albemarle and MV loss. Brookville taking over #1 with a win at Jefferson Forest this Friday.
With all the bonus points flying around out there then the #1 is still up in the air. But the bonus points will obviously effect everyone from top to bottom in 3A West.

mvwarrior, I have a question, are you a graduate of MV?

Wow mvwarrior thanks for opening an old wound!!! I played on the 94 mv team and we totally overlooked laurel park thinking ahead to the rematch with JF, omg I won't be able to sleep tonight, I'll just keep thinking about that field goal lol.

Lancerfirst I think I understand the confusion now? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way you understood my above post, that I'm predicting MV to lose to GW on Friday and drop to #4-6? That's not what I'm predicting. I was merely stating the "what if" part of the thread. I get it now, but I am not predicting a MV loss, but I think it's going to be one heck of a game in Danville Friday night! If you know me then you know I love MV and I have felt every playoff loss that has happened to them (even the 15-14 loss to Laurel Park in the 1994 playoffs) wink wink! To answer your question about if I'm a graduate of MV then I proudly say "YES I AM!" I used to follow Coach Scott at Laurel Park and enjoyed watching his son Warrick play during the early mid 90's in basketball. I just enjoy our area and the sports that are played at a high level within our area. Martinsville (soccer and basketball) Tunstall (Baseball) I follow and support our kids (all our Martinsville/Henry County and surrounding area kids). When I returned from Lynchburg last December, from witnessing MV kids holding that state championship trophy, I literally sat on the edge of my bed and shed a tear with this thought resonating in my head "FINALLY. ..FINALLY...FINALLY!!!" No more MV can't win that big one in football!

Thanks for explaining because it wasn't just this thread but others as well. And yes I was at MV to see my alma mater Laurel Park beat MV in 1994. That was a great game too. And yes I'm truly proud that now due to the consolidation of schools that MV & former LP can say we have a state championship in football too. I'm looking forward to Friday and I'm just a die hard lancer/warrior regardless to our records, performances, and results. I pray for a great, hard fought, and injury free game against GW and I'll be cheering hard for my Warriors.

GO WARRIORS!!!!
