4A North Conference Tournament Updates

Conf. 21 Friday night Championship Woodgrove beat Loudoun Co. 59-40. Woodgrove and Millbrook advance to the Region 4 Tournament. Millbrook which lost to Loudoun Co. on Thursday night moves on having been the number one seed and finishing first in the regular season standings.. Conf. 22 Friday finals Courtland 60 King George 49. Chancellor 60 Eastern View 45. Monday Chancellor at Courtland
Conf. 23 Friday finals Handley 64 Louisa Co. 59. Amherst Co. 64 Harrisonburg 46. Monday Handley/Charlottesville and
Amherst Co./Fluvanna Co.. Both games will be played at Fluvanna HS.


Conf. 24 Friday night final E. C. Glass 89 Carroll Co. 39. The other three quarterfinals will be played Monday night. Salem at Pulaski Co., Jefferson Forest at George Washington and Bassett at William Fleming. .

**********4A North Conference Tournament Updates 2-23,24,25

Wednesday 2-25: Tonight's Conf. 24 semifinal between Pulaski Co. at E.C.Glass has been postponed and will be now be played Friday night. In the 4A North bracket I had posted that Millbrook /CHS and Wooodgrove/Fluvanna were on the same bracket side. But after viewing it on www.vhsl .org they are not. MB/CHS are on the top half WG/FHS bottom half.


Tuesday 2-24: Conf. 23 Championship: After 1 Fluvanna 13 Charlottesville 10. Fluvanna
ended 1st on a 11-2 run. Halftime Fluvanna 26 CHS 22 After 3 Fluvanna leads 44-34. FINAL Charlottesville 54 Fluvanna 48. CHS out scores Fluvanna 20-4 in the 4th. I believe in the 4A North Regionals Conference 21 vs. Conf. 23 and the Conference Tournament champions are the number one seeds. So that would set up one side of the bracket with Millbrook at Charlottesville and Fluvanna at Woodgrove. I think the 4A North Quarterfinals start Saturday; semifinals Tuesday and the Championship next Thursday March 5.

Conf.23 Semifinal FINAL Fluvanna Co. 70 Amherst Co. 48. At the half Charlottesville 43 Handley 23 ; CHS Caleb Cage 12
FINAL Charlottesville 75 Handley 56. CHS/Fluvanna tomorrow night for the conf. championship at 7:30
at CHS. Both teams have advanced to the 4A North Regional Tournament.

Conf. 22 Championship After 1 Courtland 12 Chancellor 9; Halftime Courtland leads 25-21. Chancellor's E.J. Jenkins leads all scorers with 8. After 3 Chancellor 34 Courtland 28. 1:42 to go Chancellor 44-39. FINAL Chancellor 51 Courtland 47. Both teams advance to the 4A North Regional Tournament.








Monday 2-23:
Conf. 24 Quarterfinals: FINAL William Fleming 78 Bassett 36; FINAL Pulaski Co. 61 Salem 49. Pulaski will play at E.C. Glass Wednesday night at 7. FINAL George Washington 65 Jefferson Forest 46. Charlottesville wins the Conference 23 championship over Fluvanna 54-48, trailed 44-34 at the end of the 3rd quarter, and out-scored the Flucos 20-4 in the 4th quarter. C'ville plays at home against Millbrook this Saturday, time TBA.
