Is this the most points ever surrendered by Gretna in history ? I can't recall giving up that many. Even when we lost 44 straight.

Things are a mess in Gretna. Actually had fan kicked out of stadium last night. Have almost had a fight between player n coach on sideline for two weeks in a row. The players, parents, and community as a whole have had enough of this coaching staff. Before anyone gets on here defending coaches, just boils down to one thing. Players n community as a whole can not stand this coach n that will not change. In six years of coaching, three at Chatham n three at Gretna, his record now is 14-45. He has had his chances n has proven time and again that he cannot coach at this level. Already have two assistants that have said they are resigning at years end. Gretna is way more talented than this. It would be unfair to force these players to put up with another year of this coach. If a change doesn't happen now the program will come to an end.

The program will not come to an end. That's an extreme statement. Gretna put up over 60 on teams before halftime in the past and all those teams are still around. Look at Dan River..survived and now thrives.
Negativity is the real program killer.
Does the next coach get time to build the program or will he be fed to the wolves if they struggle early?

Gretna has a good group of Freshmen/Sophomore skill position players, 3 running backs, a wide receiver and a quarterback..These guys will put points on the board in the future.

What's missing is a defensive lineman who can live in the opponent's backfield disrupting plays, and a linebacker who can take over a game on stopping the run.
Last night Gretna scored 34 points, which should be enough to win most nights.

Something is horribly wrong anytime a 2A school gives up 70 points to a 1A school

Im going to say it again. It hurts to see the QB yall got on JV leave appo. Mom got married to a gretna guy and moved. He is good.
