Casey Johnson was hired as the new boys basketball coach at Altavista. Johnson, who is the son of former Emory & Henry head men’s basketball coach Bob Johnson, also has another influence: He played for former Altavista coach Mike Cartolaro when Cartolaro coached at Virginia High in the 1990s.
