1. #7 for Salem was at the line of scrimmage unblocked most of the game. How do you not block a soon to be all state player?
2. The iso and power plays are defensive fundamentals. You have to stop those plays first.
3. Historically Salem has hurt Amherst with curl /out routes and passes to the flats. That should be the number 2 priority in preparing the boys for a game of this caliber.
4. If Ramsey lines up as the tail back in the I 90 percent of the time it's going to him.
5. Get down hill! The qb doing 360 circles has no purpose I can see. I don't know what kind of offense this is. Is it a single wing, wing t. What is it! The o line didn't get any angles on defenders with all of the motion and spinning so what is the purpose.
6. No emotion. These players have to be willing to run through a wall for their coach. I don't see that. If the players see the coach fired up they will play for you. 16 year olds need to see that emotion from a coach. They still are kids.
Amherst has the kids to go a long ways but they need to be under the right tutelage. I think alot of people in the county are getting a little anxious here in year 8.
Best of luck to the Amherst players, play hard, no plays off and keep yer heads up. Coaches please adjust because it's not working.
