Game Recap Another Blue Ridge WIn Over VES

Blue Ridge earned a trip to their 4th straight state championship game with a 71-59 win over Virginia Episcopal. It was the Barons 4th win this season over their rivals who they have met in the State semi-finals each of the past four seasons.

Darius McGhee led Blue Ridge with 20 points including 17 in the 2nd half. Jaden Frazier added 15 points and five rebounds while Sardaar Calhoun kicked in 10 points.

The Barons defense limited Virginia Episcopal to only 28 points thru the first three quarters to take a 43-28 lead. Mcghee found the rang in the 4th quarter with back-to-back treys that put Blue Ridge up 55-33 with 4:46 to go 4th.

Jaelin Llewellyn drained five straight 3-pointers to make the final score respectable. He scored 18 of his 26 points in the 4th quarter to lead the Bishops. Bryce Waterman added 15 points while Patrick Kelly grabbed 12 rebounds to go along with six points.
