6 rushing TDs,29 for 44 passing(67% approx) with 5TDs and 1Int....10quarters(only 1 full game). Now....I can’t calculate the numbers if 6 full games were played, but I’m thinking they’d be pretty good. I can’t take fatigue or average number of plays into account, but would anyone be able to give me “approximate numbers” based on 24 quarters?!

Is this Jones’ stats? I’m looking forward to watching him play Friday.. I grabbed my tickets yesterday. Who else should I be looking out for? I know the players you listed on NC preps, What is the RB position looking like?

@Hldaniel can give you more, but HSHS throws multiple RBs at you,and it’s always a FRESH,breakaway threat, throughout the game. I’ve seen 4 RBs this year, behind that OLine. Jones finds the open WR,so there’s no ONE PARTICULAR receiver he throws to. This coaching staff WILL FIND what a defense is weak at,and attack it relentlessly!

The starting running back, in game one(Avalon), missed the Oscar Smith game, but he is back healthy now. I believe he has a D2 offer from Lincoln University,But honestly....they hit you in waves. The fourth quarter running back in the state finals last year, hadnt touched the ball until the fourth quarter in that game. He scored twice in the fourth quarter against a worn out defense.

Thank you for the correction! those aren’t even close to FULL games played! Accounted for 16TDs in 10quarters!
That's impressive. So aside from the one full game, he has averaged just over 1 quarter of playing time in five games?

Yes, except the Smith game, he has averaged about 1 qtr per game! Our younger backups have gotten a lot of good reps in those games and still win by large margins! Seriously, if HS played their starters in those other 5 games, they'd have scored 70+ points in all of them.
HS's staff just won't do that, let our "depth chart" get more experience!

That’s correct! Once they’re up multiple scores(usually by the beginning of the second quarter),he’s given way to the backup QB. He normally will play the first drive of the 3rd quarter, and will sit the rest of the game. He only played 1 drive in the Meadowbrook game! Giving the backup QB reps vs the opposing teams 1st string defense is very valuable. If he’s needed later(god forbid)....He’s ready! The 3rd string QB has played most of the 4th quarters,to get some varsity Experience. Developing depth has been the key to the continued success along with their development on JV.

It is part of the cycle (system) of a great program!
