what is going on ? there seems to be more arguements/ejections/etc. with ball/strike calls this season than ever before.

I don't know if that's true or not but MLB has a zero tolerance policy regarding arguing balls/strikes. They just don't tolerate it.

VHSl softball,ball and strike calls are to not be argued about.

granted, one cannot argue balls and strikes, but one can tactfully question them. I just wish every umpire would call them IAW rule book, not have a "dream" as to what a strike is, or have his own personal definition.

As long as officials are human, there's always going to be a difference of opinion in what's a foul and what isn't a foul or what's a strike and what isn't a strike. It has very little to do with personal definitions.
