THE OPPORTUNITY:

Top players regionally, as well as state-wide, will be invited to perform and showcase their talents at the 2015 Best of the 757 Baseball Camp & Showcase. In its 8th year, the event has been modified and will include 2-days of activities, where players will get to play in front of a large contingent of scouts, major college baseball programs, and other baseball decision-makers; participate and be measured in baseball specific athletic tests; and showcase fielding/throwing/pitching/hitting skill during drills led by top high school baseball coaches in the 757.

EXPOSURE:

We have created the perfect setting for showcasing the region’s top rising prospects. The Best of the 757 Baseball Camp & Showcase will invite college coaches and scouts from MLB organizations. Athletic testing results will also be sent to a database of over 500 college coaches and recruiting coordinators.

SHOWCASE FORMAT & GAMES:

• Day 1 — All players will go through: (1) athletic testing (powered by Onelife Fitness) and including: 60-yard dash, 5-10-5 shuttle, rotational lateral jump, and vertical jump; and (2) batting practice, fielding skills, pitching/catching skills, and arm strength assessment
• Day 2 — All players will also play in showcase games

SCHEDULE FOR THE 2 DAYS:


DAY 1 — Offensive & Defensive Showcase

• 9:30am — Player registration
• 10am-11:15am — Warm-up and Athletic Testing (10/60-yd Dash, Lateral Jump, Vertical Jump, Pro Agility)
• 11:30am-1:30pm — Offensive Showcase
• 2pm-3:45pm — Defensive Showcase

DAY 2 — Showcase Games

• 9:30am — Players arrive
• 10am — Players Warm-up for 1st game
• 10:45am — Showcase Game #1
• 12:45pm — Players Warm-up for 2nd game
• 1:15pm — Showcase Game #2
