7 on 7 STRUCTURE
  1. All games will be officiated by coaches (working on obtaining certified officials).
  2. 22 man roster per team.
    • Athletes may play on 2 teams, but take up a roster spot on each team.
  3. 25 minute games. Running clock.
  4. Every team must provide someone to snap the ball.
  5. A new game will start every 30 minutes.
  6. You will play 1 game per hour.
  7. Round robin format followed by a single elimination seeded playoff.
  8. 16 team limit. Guaranteed 5 games.
7 on 7 RULES
  1. Each team will get ONE 30 second time out per game.
  2. 4 seconds to throw the ball. OFFICIALS will keep the 4 second count. Sack is loss of down from L.O.S.
  3. 30 second play clock. OFFICIALS will keep 30 second play clock. 5 yard penalty from L.O.S.
  4. 4 downs to get a first down. (20 yards) 4 downs to get a touchdown. (20 yards)
  5. 1 hand touch. Down at the spot of touch.
  6. The only turnover is an interception. Fumbles are dead at the spot of the fumble to the offense. Interceptions are a turnover, dead and not returnable.
  7. Touchdowns are worth 6 points. 1 point for a successful PAT from the 5. 2 points for a successful PAT from the 10.
  8. Over time – 1 play. Score – offense wins. Stop – Defense wins. Flip for ball.
  9. DPI – Spot foul. Automatic 1st Down at the spot.
  10. OPI – Loss of down and 10 yard penalty from L.O.S.
  11. NO BLOCKING DOWNFIELD!!!!! NONE! 10 Yard penalty from the spot of the foul.
  12. Coaches on offense can be in the huddle and on the field. Must be 10 yards behind L.O.S at snap of ball. 10 yard penalty and loss of down after first warning.
  13. Defensive coaches must be OFF THE FIELD. This is a safety hazard. Automatic 1st down will be awarded to the offense after first warning to defensive coaches.
  14. Any unsportsmanlike conduct is immediate ejection of athlete from the tournament and forfeiture for his team’s current game. 2 unsportsmanlike penalties on one team during the tournament is immediate disqualification of the entire program and forfeiture of all of their games.
Strongman Competition: 5 Events
  1. All events will be officiated by coaches.
  2. Teams may enter 4 participants/teams per event
  3. 2 weight classes for Bench Press and Power Clean Events – 0-199 lbs & 200+ lbs
  4. No weight classes for Tire Flip and Heavy Ball Toss
  5. Top 3 scorers will be announced in each event.
  6. Lifters must provide their own spotter. Spotters are REQUIRED!

LIST OF EVENTS

  1. 1RM Rules - Participants can start at any weight they want. Participants get as many lifts as they want until they have 2 scratched attempts. The weight will increase 10 pounds after each successful round, 5 pounds after successfully completing a scratched weight.
  2. 1RM & 185 Max Reps Bench Press - A successful lift is one that starts over the chest, touches the chest and pressed back up to the starting position. The lifter may arch his back but his buttocks must remain in contact with the bench. During 185 MR the lifter may pause between reps.
  3. Power Clean - A successful lift is one that starts on the ground and is caught on top of the shoulders. The bar cannot pause on any part of the lifters body on the way up. The lifter must be in a front squat position with thighs parallel to sub-parallel when they catch the clean. Then front squat it up to finish the movement.
  4. Tire Flip - Must be done in pairs (2 participants per tire). A large tire will be flipped by one person, once it hits the ground; the other person will flip it back to the first person. This will be done for one minute.
  5. Heavy Ball Toss - Participants will throw a heavy ball forward off of 2 knees, with 2 hands over their head. Each person gets 3 throws. The top of the throwers feet must be flat on the ground and remain in contact with the ground. The best of the 3 throws will count.
