Very unusual but all the teams had a bye this week with the exception of King George that played I C Norcom. really no change in the standings even though KG won.
# 1 COURTLAND 3 @ 1 : Still top dog but the jackts are improving and looks like right now are just a tad behind the cougars! Liberty next on the schedule!
# 2 J M 3@ 1: Jackets seem to be getting better every week especially the defense as the offense looks as good as ever! this years jackets seem to be more run orientated but they still have dangerous receivers! going to be interesting when they play chancellor later this season. tough Essex team this week at maury!
# 3 Chancellor 3 @ 1: Chargers may be the spoiler in the district this year. if they continue to improve they are going to give the jackets and courtland all they can handle when they face off. chargers defense continues to improve and they have the best QB in the district in Jason Brown and Wisdom their back seem to be able to keep other teams defenses off Brown with his rushing! got to keep my eyes on Chancellor as they might be moving up! next for them James River home!
# 4 King George 2@ 3: Even though the foxes won this week against a weak Norcom team 0 @ 4 in ot can't get a true read on them as even though it was a good win for them on the road the greyhounds are not that good. foxes have some talent but not as good as the top three imo! after a bye this week they play spotsy home!
# 5 Spotsylvania 1@ 3: Which way will my boys from post oak go after this week! after a disappointing loss to Orange last week they have had time to lick their wounds and play a team that imo can beat this week. it's homecoming week and the 75th anniversary night of the school and they should be well motivated and ready for W@ L Friday night! this is a must win for them as it looks like Caroline is improving and if they lose to W@ L that Caroline game may be their last chance for a win!
# 6 Caroline 0@ 4: got my eyes on the cavaliers as their offense is coming on! they are scoring at will on teams but they can't stop anyone! I still know they have a excellent coach in Anton Yeates and he is doing a good job with what he has got! keep the faith Caroline fans because if their defense improves things are going to look up and the cavs will not be the laughing stock of the dist. they have Thomas Jefferson this week in Richmond!
glad to get the teams playing again this week again. most have had time this week to heal up the bumps and bruises and scout their next opponent and get ready for the last half of the season. season is going fast and the playoffs are only about 4 or 5 weeks away! good luck to all!
