I saw scores on both games; defense being optional is stating it mildly. I know when Martinsville played Lee, we made them earn those buckets. Congrats to Lee!!

Yea, the games were so high scoring the last few games, but at least Lee's offense finally woke up.

East Rock is going to be a tough out for anyone....and I think Lee is starting to play better now, which is what really matters at this stage.

Maybe we will see another Lee vs Martinsville down the road again......sure hope so.

It's a possibility that Lee and Martinsville could meet again. There's still a lot of basketball to be played. I just want my Dawgs to concentrate on their upcoming game and handle buzinesssss.

I sure do miss the "old days" when Lee defense was a staple in their game.

Johnson 9 0-0 18
Velvin 4-0-0 11
Williams 2 0-0 5
Pettiford 0-2-2 2
Team 30 18-24 83

East Rockingham scoring leaders: Butler 26, Comer 18, Rogers 15

This game featured two first team all-state players IMO, George from Lee and Butler from ER. It wasn't a half court defensive slugfest. If there are fans in 2A who think because it was a high scoring game, neither Lee or ER can compete for the title, don't count your chickens before they hatch. I wouldn't be surprised to see both in the final 4, and yes, compete with the defensive teams like Martinsville (gasp, maybe beat them ).

If I remember correctly, the last time Lee played Martinsville; Lee lost. It was a short handed Martinsville team. They were missing their most versatile player, Jordan Turner.
