Me too! I thought East Rock had a team to maybe make it to the final four. It looks like the semis are BR1 vs BR3, and S1 vs S3.
Never count out any team coached by Cappanella. The guy is GOOD.
East Rock didn't shoot the ball well at all. George Mason had a great game plan and East Rock did not. Mason varied their defense and kept ER off balance the entire game, switching from 1-3-1 to 2-3 and mixed in some man to man. ER chose to stick with their offensive approach even though they really struggled getting good looks. It's a shame because ER is a talented group but you gotta bring it when it counts and George Mason did! Congrats to them.
ER will be better next year with most of the important pieces returning but still going to need to learn to adjust better on the fly and use play to your strengths. Gotta adjust to your talent rather than the other way around.

Count me among the ones that are surprised by this result. Second year in a row that a very good East Rock team gets knocked off early. But with Jefferson back next year, they will be in the mix again.
Considering the George Mason win and Central's fairly easy win over Wilson, Lee could have some competition before all is said and done. Too bad all four remaining teams have to now play their district rivals in the semis, but I guess that is the way it worked out.
