In a game that got a little chippy at times, LC Bird defeated Millwood 56-49 at the 4th Annual Coaches for the Cure Basketball Classic.
Although he scored only eight points, Mario Haskett was my Player of the Game because of his great defense on Millwood D1 recruit C.J Williams. After scoring 13 points in the 1st half, Williams was held to only two points the rest of the game.

Williams , who is headed to Howard University next year, helped bring the Bobcats back with 10 second quarter points including two treys an a monster slam. LC Bird big man Jyles Webster scored six of his 10 points in the second quarter as LC Bird took an eight point lead into the locker room.
Millwood stayed within striking distance and they took the lead on a jumper by Miles Gibson with 3:45 to go in the 3rd quarter. But back-to-back layups from Johquin Wiley, his first two baskets on the day, put LC Bird ahead for good in the 3rd quarter.
