Championship thoughts

I was really surprised how physical Freedom was yesterday. Rushing for 400+ yards against Highland Springs was impressive. Coach Overton has built a great program. Of the championship games that happened yesterday Salem surprised me the most. I truly thought Phoebus would roll. Salem stuck to their guns and ran their offense and defense and was a miraculous play away from going to overtime. Lastly, Maury got the division 5 dynasty started by winning their second title as expected. I hope that one day the coaches from Stone Bridge and Maury would just sit down and just talk. Grown men should not hold grudges this long lol

The skill position players get the headlines but when a very good team (Freedom 2017-21) becomes a great team (Freedom 2022-23) it's usually because their line play got better.
