What kind of QB will the Black Knights have this year? Replacing Sam will be a tall task.

Don't think it's for sure yet, but most likely it will be rising senior Daimon Washington. He played QB for the JV team when he was a freshman in 2015. Since then, he's played FS for varsity the last two years serving as a backup for Neale. He's 6 feet, built, and he's an athlete. He's probably the best defender on the basketball team as well. Here are his highlights from his QB year on JV:



As you can see, like all Charlottesville QBs, he's a rush first, pass second QB. He's a decent passer though, and I think he'll fit in very nicely in the triple option. He's learned from Sam the past two years, and I think he'll be ready to step into the QB spot this year. His passing highlights are at the 9:03 mark of the video.
