It started last year with the installation of the field turf. This has been a long time coming, the stadium is 75 years old & this will be the biggest renovation since opening.

Heritage has really improved since Bradley took over 3 years ago. Now there's excitement with Woody taking over at Glass. It's been a while since both teams were good at the same time, maybe this will be the year. I remember the city rivalry being strong in the late 80's early 90's. Hopefully it will come back this year.

I'm really anxious to see how the Seminole will play out. I guess JF will be the early favorite under Coach Christmas, with Heritage led by Coach Bradley a close 2nd based on their recent performance. Will EC Glass return to their glory days behind Coach Woody? Liberty has been one of the most consistent teams under the longest tenured coach in the district, Chris Watts. Brookville looks to return to the top of the district under 2nd year Coach Meeks. Coach Phillips would like to lead Amherst back to the top after a couple of uncharacteristic years. Coach Baker will have to work hard to keep Rustburg relevant in the district. Only 2 coaches will have more than 3 years with their team to begin the season. Should be one of the most competitive and exciting districts in the state. Practice starts in less than 2 weeks!

They are improving the inside of the stadium. Better hope for a few more parking lots. Parking has always been an issue at Lynchburg City Stadium
