Class 3 Boys Championship: Hopewell vs Spotswood

I agree, Hopewell needs to pound the ball in side first before taking the three. Some kind of delay in game with the floor.

Both defensive game plans worked well first half. Spotswood doubling the post and making Hopewell shoot 3s. Spotswood having trouble finishing inside with Hopewell’s height. Pacheco needs to get the mid-floater game going. Sprague also not hitting his 3s. Hopewell is massive

53-50 Spotswood, 31 seconds left. Byrd for Hopewell and Sprague for Spotswood have both fouled out

Spotswood 57 Hopewell 50 Final. Best game of the weekend thus far. Both teams left it all on the court

Should’ve seen this coming after the way they beat Northside last weekend - this team was definitely on a mission

Was it me, or did Jordan miss a point blank dunk?

I looked away for a second and thought that’s what I saw.

That was a typical Chad Edward’s Spotswood team - disciplined, well executed, tough as nails - very solid team.

How young are Lake Taylor, Meridian and New Kent?
I'm not sure on Lake Taylor. Meridian was senior dominant this year, i believe. New Kent loses both their 1000 point scorers in Ross and Diggs, but do return 3 other starters and several key reserves plus they had a really good jv team

Hopewell got out played today by a more discipline and well coached team. Cherry was the only Hopewell player to show up today, Spellman played ok but not his normal game, maybe next year with everyone coming back if there are no transfers. And congrats to Spotswood.
