1. Ok, time to do a redo and reconsider Region D. Richlands? Yep. Richlands.
2. Winning at William Byrd in a game I could GUARANTEE you that the overwhelming majority of Richlands fans felt they would lose, and probably lose by a couple of TD's.
3. Richlands wins. Why? The Coach of Richlands is very good and the program is still one of the better ones in 2A. Everyone gets that, but...…..they have a WR named Horn or Horne of which I found out by listening to this game on WGTH was injured during the season. Evidently, dude can play. It sounded like the dude went off against William Byrd and evidently, this guy is a game changing type of player. Also, this is the 4th time I've listened to the radio guy from Richlands. I like him. He seems like the kind of guy I would like to share some Croaker with caught from Messick.
4. A congrats is in order for 2A football for the folks from Richlands.
Now, with that said, let me revert to my norm and say that the folks from Richlands need not get a big head because I love doing battle with you on this forum! Additionally, if you run into the mighty-might Bull Islanders from "down east", we are going to give you the business as the ACC's Ron Cherry stated! Finally, the 2A Virginia Class is starting to getting some shape. Evidently, the boys from East Rock and those up on the "Ridge" in Region D are the real deal. Of course, Appomattox is legit and teams are a bit closer in dethroning them. Time will tell. Poquoson hits a rough stretch shortly as the Bay Rivers has some absolute beasts in Lafayette, Warhill (read about them and Paul Wheelers son and the turn around) and York which may be as equally talented as both of them. Now, I'm across the bridge tomorrow to watch as a neutral guy against the Game Turkeys and the Pride of the Tidewater Monarchs in what will be a 42-13 win for Virginia Tech, but as long as the fried oysters are flowing at the tailgate, I'm all in.
Good luck to all 2A teams in Virginia and prayers for those affected by the Hurricane.
