Just my personal opinions here:

I think the bottom half of the bracket will be represented by R.E. Lee in the semis. They are on a roll. And the bottom half of that bracket just doesn't look intimidating at all.

The top half of the bracket to me is a 3 team race. I see Goochland/Brunswick/King William all three as having a chance to be in the semis.

Unfortunately for the top seed in the East I feel they will get the pleasure of hosting Richlands.

Honestly I don't believe Brunswick will go far taking losses to Greenville and a loss to Amelia earlier in the year and usually towards the end of the year Brunswick is good but they finished season loosing 26-6 to Greenville and there opponent in first round just so happens to be Greenville

Brunswick only beat 1 team with a winning record but for the most part if I remember right almost their entire schedule were teams around 8-2 records that they played fairly close.

I may be wrong about them but they usually have some really good athletes.

Brunswick is also without the services of all state qb Darren Owens who had shoulder surgery I believe about 3 weeks ago.

Losing to LCA by a score of 34-18 is a heckuva respectable showing by a 2A school early in the season. LCA usually have 2-4 guys with DI rides

Having seen both KW and Clarke, Clarke is the better team. I have no idea how the two will do in the playoffs but the Eagles were the more complete team. But, saw KW in first game of year and the Eagles the last game so maybe things changed for KW all the way.

Personally you can't hold any judgement from Week 1 of a team. It's just too long ago and you really don't want to hit your stride til the end of the year.

Clarke County has just under 4800 yards total offense through ten games and has given up under 1500 on defense. It will be interesting to see how they do in the playoffs this year ! If you go by this site there isn't one team in the East region who should even be playing. One game at a time with lots of luck mixed in with talent will determine everyone's outcome.

Now that the regular season is over, I support the Bull Run teams. Clarke is maybe one of the strongest teams around. They have a great weight program over there in Berryville. Maybe this is the year they get the post season monkey off their backs!

KW is a completely different team than what was seen week 1.
How is the stadium there? Lots of away bleachers? I always have to get up top. And any local restaurants near there? And how about the concession stand food?

Good luck to you guys tomorrow, hope its a great game, and an injury free game as well. Good luck to everyone this weekend

KW has a beautiful stadium with more away side bleachers than many schools at this level have on the home side. Good food at the concessions. Plenty of restaurants right there near the school. Vinny's Italian Grill is a popular local favorite as is Don Pedro's which is Mexican food. Also another Italian restaurant called Lucio's which is hit or miss on food and service. Also just past the school is a little small family restaurant called Ripley's which I like that has country cooking and sandwiches. Also is a Subway, Dominos and a Burger King which I'd personally avoid. All of these are either right by the school or just across the other side of Rt 360. So definitely plenty of options there.

The KW concession stand food is pretty good. But expect a wait. It is small. Very nice field, plenty of bleachers. But do not expect a huge home crowd. The couple of times I have been there, the home crowd has been on the smallish side, especialy for a solid program like they have in KW.

King William is a totally different team than early in the season. Their sophomore QB now has a complete regular season under his belt, and the leading rusher in the Tidewater was playing receiver at start of the year. He is a load! Great kid and King William will go as far as he carries them. He is the real deal.

I like KW's team. Would not be surprised to see them make a deep run. But that Clarke bunch could be something if they can just get over that hurdle of playoff disappointment.
