Terri Ann Funk has been named the new Head Girls Basketball Coach at Eastside High School.
Coach Funk was a multi-sport athlete in High School (St. Paul) and in college (UVA-Wise).
Her accolades include:
High School:
5-Sport Player but 3-Sport standout
All-State in basketball, Softball and Track
All Southwest VA in all 3 but -Player of the year in Softball
Won State Championship in Discus!

State Farm Player of the Year
Wendy’s Heisman Finalist
Multi offers to play D-1 in softball but wanted to be a dual player in college.
Signed for basketball and softball at UVA Wise
Started 4 years in basketball
One of a select few athletes from the college to play in two different National Championships in basketball and softball
AAC Player of the Weeks in basketball and softball
All AAC tournament team in b-ball
All AAC academic teams
Coaching:
Coached at Saint Paul-1 year, led team to a district tournament runner-up finish.
Coached Eastside Previously for 1-year
Won district and made first region appearance in school history
Named Cumberland Coach of the Year
Took 4 years off and then was on Coach Patrick Damron's staff that finished as State Tournament runner-up
