Game is scheduled to start at 7:10pm if no more strikes. Stadium was cleared. On another note, I saw on FB that Essex all state RB Dameron will not be playing tonight due to an injury. Not sure if it’s minor or major. Speedy recovery big man.

Starting 2nd Q. KW 16 Essex 6. Essex returned the the opening kickoff for a td. KW converted a couple 3rd and longs and later scored to make it 8-6. Essex turned the ball over on an onside kick and the D held on to keep KW from scoring.
At the half. KW 24 Essex 6. Essex really missing their star RB tonight. Can’t really put together any decent drives. Essex has recovered 2 KW fumbles and nothing came from then. KW has had 3 TDs called back for fouls. On one possession KW scored on about a 70 yard catch and run but was called back for a flag. Very next play they ran the same play for a td but was called back to about Essex 25-30 for a foul. With a minute and change before the half KW got a pick 6 that was called back.

I watched the 2nd half. Essex O line could not handle KW's D line, which was quick off the ball and into the backfield on most snaps. KW's D was flying to the ball and making hard hits nearly every play. Essex didn't play like they were a top 10 team tonight IMO.
Looks like Franklin provided the blueprint to pester Essex, still I have Essex winning the NND and making a deep playoff run.
Colonial Beach, & Washington & Lee may have something to say about that.
Essex would have still lost this game if star back played if they don't fix their defense they won't beat colonial beach
Can’t 100% say Essex would of still lost with the RB playing. As many know, he’s the biggest part of that offense right now. That really hurts when your passing game is still a work in progress. Plenty of season remaining to clean all this up. Essex has not reached their top performance level yet. I for one won’t count them out yet.
