They probably can. Thats the same school I drove over and watched quite a few years back play Rappahannock County. One of the ladies taking money at the gate told one of the Rappahannock Co. fans she was surprised they could afford to drive all the way to Falls Church.
I expect with the change in Governor with Youngkin this will now change.

CRT has been implemented in the schools in northern Virginia. By Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, PW, Loudoun and Falls Church City. I'm not backing away from that because it is a fact. Is it something that the left has come out and announced to the world..yet? No. Your boy McAuliffe definitely tried to stick his nose in it when he said parents should not have a say in what their kids are being taught. My son does virtual school. Since I work from home I've caught quite a bit of the garbage that is being pushed with my own ears. Thankfully, he's bright enough to not fall for it. Most of the kids are. Only the most gullible will buy into it.

For those who are wondering who is right and who is wrong on such easily provable facts, the answer is surprisingly something in between. No, there is no CRT in any of those schools mentioned. But some of those schools have implemented something called equity education. This may be similar to what the guy claims is being forced down his son's throat. It is not even close to CRT, but it is something that would never fly in much of the rest of the state. That is not a value judgment by me, that is just a fact. I know nobody is still reading this far down the thread, but I just thought I would clear that up because I guess I started it by sharing the press release.

I can see how from the outside the equity thing might ruffle some feathers but it is NOT CRT or even close to it, as you say. All I was after was the fact that CRT has not been implemented in FCCPS nor anywhere else in the state, contrary to my new friend's assertions. Also for the record, this community overwhelmingly supports the vaccine mandate for athletes, its a non issue here.

Condensed version: I call out the politics being pushed on sports and every other aspect of our lives. Some dont like it. If I make enemies, too bad. Changing the name of GM was ignorant at best. But not shocking considering the types of people who live in Falls Church. And even less shocking that they're the first to push a vax mandate for all athletes. And they'll attempt to push it on the rest of the state eventually.

I highly doubt FCCPS will be leading the pack to 'push' mandates on the rest of the state. The schools and city broke away from Fairfax so they could run their schools the way they want. Trust me, nobody in FCCPS cares about what Fairfax or anyone else is doing and we sure aren't pushing anything on anybody, nor should we. The name change was ill advised, I don't like it at all. I no longer live in Fairfax (moved outside the Beltway where things are a bit cheaper!) so I'm not sure what happened there within the community, I thought the community had spoken that they didn't want the name changed but I'm not sure on that. We created a problem where there wasn't one - a staple of FCCPS in my opinion. I'm not a fan of 'wokeness' and I think that is rampant in FC. I believe that's what won Youngkin the big chair in Richmond, I am not a fan of far left or far right policies and mindsets. BTW, I'm curious why the Trumpers, who said the election was rigged before the votes were even cast, and they had proof of that, aren't clamoring for a recount or for a forensic audit? As a matter of fact I haven't heard a peep out of them. Interesting. According to their logic the results should be overturned and McAuliffe should be the next governor. LOL. And for the record, my screen name refers to George Mason University, where I graduated from many years ago. I don't post much as I no longer attend Mason sports events, I live too far away these days to make it back in for the games with traffic.

I do hear you on the traffic thing. I'd love to make the drive down to Quantico, if they ever field another football team, but 95 south is such a pain, especially crossing the Occoquan. I used to drive out to Rappahannock County to watch the Panthers play but fighting traffic for that far just to watch them get annihilated wore thin. I'd love to drive up and watch Maryland School for the Deaf play but Frederick is quite the haul also. The question of why I watch 1A, well I went to a 1A school and I prefer to watch the smaller schools play.
