..2..Mathews42* a top 1A Softball Program, won 12 in a row,a top pitcher, few errors, last 10 games out scored opp.100 to 8
..3..Patrick Henry47*with one of the best pitchers in 1A, PH and a rested Booth might be lights out for the rest of the field
..4..Windsor41* vhsl rank #1 east, 2nd east 4th overall lost to NHS, not sure they can beat Mathews, they're a top team
..5..Chilhowie46* one of the states top 1A programs, have one of 1A's top players, won 12 straight, playing on both sides
..6..Northumberland43*the hottest team in the East, big win over Windsor, one part of the NND's 3 headed monster
..7..Riverheads44* they beat the team, that beat the top teams in the west, based on beating James River they're good
..8..Eastside48* 8th is given, only con. 48 team on list, exiting early, can't beat RR, GW, NW, Craig Co., or Honaker
..9..Holston47 they can go far and have a good chance, a top pitcher in 1A, their chances aren't bad
.10.Auburn45 have big wins against big teams, and are looking to take the crown from their rival PM
.11.Essex43 big wins this year, with shut you down pitching, part of NND's 3 headed monster, if they get in, they can go far
.12.Chincoteague41 played well early, have been giving up some runs of late, very competitive team with some bat
.13.Galax46 3 game losing streak, facing GW, won't give up many runs, don't be surprised if they go far or get beat by GW
.14.Rappahannock43 with a top slinger and good fielding, one head of the three headed NND monster, one won't make it
.15.William Campbell44 maybe not, not much chance of them winning it all here, my other con. 44 team
.16.Honaker47 play in the toughest con. in 1A, must beat PH or Holston to advance and they have done it before, always in it
.17.Central Lunenburg42
.18.Northwood47 very competitive team, if only the were in a con. 48, chances of winning the title are better then GWs
.19.Craig Co.45 another great team with older twin sisters, all around above average, can advance if they can beat a sibling
.20.RR & GW46 RR coming together at the right time, with a win over Galax, could easily upset Chilhowie
GW; have lost several to top teams in the bottom of the 7th, must beat Galax on the 25th, four hits total in last four games vs Galax
Some will make it far, some will be shocked and their season ended early, and one will win it all, never has there been more teams that actually could win the state title, will be one of the most competitive post seasons ever, with 15 teams that can be the 1A State Champs in 2017 it will be one to remember. Sure I have made some errors and I do know the west teams better, but overall no bias to the east.
