Last time Great Bridge pitched a shutout in their season opener? It was by a count of 33-0 against Salem of Virginia Beach back on August 30, 1990 at Colon Hall Stadium. Great Bridge was then coached by Tommy Rhodes, who is also remembered for presenting Ken Easley to the Pro Football Hall of Fame back in 2017.
Rhodes not only coached the Wildcats and Easley at Oscar Smith, but was the Head Coach at Cox and Green Run.
