I left after Riverheads scored last time, at that time, SD had 1 first down and that was the TD. Nothing like last 2 years for sure
Probably the best all around team we have had: (offense looks really , defense is really good, special look good ) you play well at all three phases you going to be tuff out. Guess I’m going to to have to travel eastrock next week.
At the half, with both 1st teams on the field the yardage was 330 for RH and 10 for SD. Draft has some pieces but there certainly isn’t the cohesive unit on either side of the ball we had grown accustomed to in recent years.
The Red team has a few things to work on too but looked to have potential for a deep run again this year in the playoffs. The backups got some good touches too and there appears to be 2-3 additional threats at the RB spots.

I only see Riverheads once a year, so you guys see them a lot more. But from what I saw, I think last 2 years teams were better than what I saw this evening. I still think they win state championship, but it's hard to base anything off Bath or SD. I cant remember how long it has been that I have seen SD look that bad. Credit some to Riverheads and some to just being outmatched.

@Gunz41, there is certainly some validity to your opinion. The counter point is that the last two years were down the stretch a little farther so the team was more precise and executed better. That would be for both teams honestly.
@uvacavs1, I wouldn’t go as far as all that. There is a lot of season left and everybody gets better. I think WC and possibly Altavista will compete in B so who knows what can happen.

Gunz this Riverheads team is better than last years team questionable the year before that hell Stuart’s Draft I thought was a lot bigger than us that don’t mean they will win a title but that will be in the hunt
I wouldn’t go that far but we are pretty good and we should be there competing for the title we got some tuff games on the schedule eastrock and central, Lee and Gap we sweep those you may be right
You could certainly be right, just what I saw. And that could be just how bad SD looked and Riverheads didnt play their best.

Sorry, but I have seen Franklin-very good but not on an elite level like Riverheads.

In some way yes, but they didnt look really good against WB or FD. 2 TDs vs WB were KO, and the TD against Fort was with less than a minute to go.
I'm not saying RH isnt good, and they could be better, just didn't see them at their best tonight. It's hard to tell when you outmatched a team that much.
Interesting perspective. I was chalking up Essex's losses to a tough early season schedule. Are you saying Essex is overrated? If so, I'm looking forward to some competitive NNK games!

It was domination. And whether its SD or another team, you know me I wont talk badly about them. Certainly not my team. So I guess you will just have to read between the lines
Gunz , Who is the coach from Draft with the pony tail that was in the press box behind the fans ? He was way out of line . His foul mouth might just get him a hair cut ! Using the G D words among other around young kids and screaming his potty mouth trash to our fans really shows a lack of class from your school . I invited him to the bottom of the stairs at games end but he chose to take the muddy bank down the hill . I guess he has no footBalls !
Sorry you thought I was obnoxious but trying to help keep team stats and posting updates on my phone isn’t easy to do. I just wanted to get scores out. I’m sure there are more people who appreciated what I did than not.

I seriously doubt he was screaming at your fans. Given the score, it's a safer assumption that he was yelling at our players. Very similar to what I have seen and heard from coaches from numerous schools over the 20+ years I've been watching high school football. I also heard Riverheads fans yelling at one of our players that he needed to get in the weight room if he wanted to stand a chance. It's football. Emotions run high. Threatening a coach seems to be a bit unnecessary.
My name is Abe Mikell. I am the long haired coach you are referring to. I did yell at our players, loudly, during the game, but did not yell curse words. When I do curse, b/c I am human, I try to make a point to do in a volume that only those around me can hear it.
I did hear your invite. I chose to finish doing my job and upholding my responsibilities for the night.
Who are you going to talk bad about next week or next year? There is trolling and there is just trying to defame others. Not the 1st time you have tried to do so.
As for your assertion, I wasn't there so I dont know what happened, but you have shown to not say things right in the past.
And I dont believe that anyone would be scared to walk down a flight of steps, so again trying to insinuate things.
Maybe, just maybe you should try to just be a quality poster for your team, who is very deserving of it instead of trying to cause drama and defame people's characters.
Well it took y’all more than a day to respond to that post I wouldn’t have worried about responding to that if nothing was to it but if it was he not the only one that herd it.
That's not the point. It didnt need to be said. He just wanted to create drama. Just like many other times.
I have absolutely no clue what did or didn't happen, I wasnt there. And I wasnt going to post, as it didn't involve me. And guess what, IF it did happen, if you think this was an exclusive incident solely from someone from SD, then you are sadly mistaken.
But since there was no drama in the game, he had to find something else. You haven't been here nearly as long to see that this is not a rare occurrence from him.
And what your post here fails to realize is that not everyone is on here all the time, read everything, and post on someone's schedule. So it being on here for 1 day without a reply means absolutely nothing

I heard and saw what was happening from the visiting coaches and it happened as it was described. In the least, it was unprofessional. While I agree that this type of thing does happen every so often and it was not the worst behavior I have witnessed, it was not the best look for Mr. Mikell. I had increased interest because my wife, 3 children, and Mother In-Law were sitting just outside the window he was yelling out of and between him and the fans that vocalized their disapproval of the words being used. My wife was about to leave because of it, but Mr. Mikell calmed down.
I am not sure how much more needs to be said on these message boards. Hopefully it is a one time incident and lessons can be learned. I wanted to confirm what happened for the sake of any argument on the board and hopefully avoid any ongoing negativity between the fan-basses for an issue that should easily be put to bed.
