Could also be that Essex has all new starters on offense is basically run team now compared to being a run and pass team last year. In 2020 Essex won 17-0 with only 5 players with varsity experience. In 2021 they had that same 2020 team that got experienced and won 40-0. This year 2023 is basically like that 2020 team. Sort of young and inexperienced. Jamestown is building. They won their 1st game this year. Last 2 years they didn’t win any I believe.

Was at the game, a number of mishandles by the Essex QB for fumbles snd plenty of penalties. Jamestown only threatened once with little offensive yardage. Essex ran well but penalties hurt. The passing game for Essex was not real good with QB under pressure. Essex was definitely the better team with a smallish but quick defense.
