I would be very surprised if this game didnt get ugly very quick. Cleveland is extremely talented yet again this year just like they were last year.....even with Zac healthy it would be a tall order. I would expect 20-30 pt game in Clevelands favor. Will have updates soon.

About the outcome I had figured. Just too much for the Devils. Not enough scoring power against a team like Cleveland with Ervin on the sidelines.

It's not just Ervins scoring, it's his size and length and rebounding on the defensive end at 6'5 that changes a lot of shots for the opposing player. Hes a huge offensive weapon, but it's important to remember the contributions that a 6'5 future D1 player can have on the defensive end of the floor, especially at the 2A level. It's a monumental loss for GC. Add his scoring potential and the defensive issues he creates in the lane for GC against opponents, and GC loses to Cleveland by 8 to 10 points, not 23. The loss of Erwin in my opinion creates an 15 point swing in final scoring differential for GC.

lmao, ervin is not 6'5" lol, and he doesn't waste his energy playing D, that is what the other 3 guys are out there for, ervin and dean only play offense, catch one of their games you will see

I've caught 3 last year and 2 this year. I watched Ervin against RE Lee last year and he was a huge factor inside on D against Lee. Ervin is no "on ball defender" by any means, but his height changes a bunch of shots for defenders when driving in the lane. I watched it live against my team last year at the Dedmon. I don't know if he's 6'3 or 6'7. I can tell you what all the recruiting services list him as.....6'5, "lmao". So, make sure the recruiting services know he's not 6'5, "lmao."

ervin is around 6'2" and yes in the biggest games he probably does put out a little better effort on D

I'm 6'2" and was beside him on the court after games at GC quite a bit last year. He towered over me. If hes not 6'5" then hes 6'4" and 3/4.

? 6'2? Critically important to notify recruiting services to make the 3 inch correction. I love the "lmao" statement you made to put emphasis on the statement as if to say, "everyone in Gate City knows Zack isn't 6"5." Well, the lmao is at your statement which is absurd. The kid is every bit of 6'5 and forget about his "overall" defense. I didn't write about that. I didn't write about his on the ball defending either. What I wrote was that his length changes a lot of shots in the lane against driving defenders in addition to rebounds he gets on the defensive end. That was noticeable for all 2A Virginia High School Basketball fans to see when they played against Lee either in person or live on the internet and he's an offensive juggernaut, but at the 2A level in Virginia, his presence on the defensive end inside the paint is also a big loss, especially in big games or close games which is when he has the ability to turn it up a notch defensively. It was evident when they beat us at Dedmon last year as GC played very solid defense.

he is 6'2" at best sorry guys, i have stood right beside him also, all players heights are overplayed always has been and always will be
