Will see how the Devils perform against a young but talented Bears team tonight without Zac Ervin. They shot over 50% from deep against the Devils the last time they played and that kept them in the game. I think it will be close but I think Union pulls the upset this time around. Will try to post updates.

Also, Ervin had surgery today on his knee for the bum meniscus. It was the best case scenario for him and surgery went well from all I've heard and was a simple meniscectomy.....obviously arthroscopic so minimally invasive. And with removing it instead of repairing it.....recover time should be 3-4 weeks if all goes as planned instead of 6-8 weeks when its repaired. Still not expecting much from him with regards to coming back....just happy to hear it was best case scenario and he can work on recovering.

When the "have to" gets ahold of ya.....its crazy what you can do. Several players stepped up big time. Compton showed he can be the scorer I thought he should have been all year long. And Vermillion stepped up nicely as well. These boys are capable of playing very good ball without Ervin....just wish they had played this way while he was there. And hopefully they play this way if and when he comes back.

Depth was a big factor, Union was just out of gas late and they couldn't hit their shots. But the GC role players deserve tons of credit, Union held Dean in check and still couldn't win
