The defending state champion Warriors used a devastating defensive effort to advance to the Mountain 7 District tournament championship game.

Union, which dealt Wise County Central its only defeat in the regular season, managed no more than eight points in any quarter and trailed 21-7 at the half.

Dee Cvetnich led the Warriors with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Brook Porter and Hannah Carter added 10 points apiece.

Heather Lipps had nine points to pace Union.
