Golf: Independence Wins School’s First State Title In Any Sport

The Tigers of Independence, which just opened in August, claimed the school’s first state title in any sport at Williamsburg National Golf Club on Tuesday. Independence, Loudoun County’s sixteenth and newest high school, put up a team score of 294, thirteen strokes clear of runner-up Abingdon.

Congrats to the Tigers on a great performance, and their first piece of major hardware!
