If Goochland can run and throw like Appo. Play Defense like crazy(fly to the ball). Have an excellent kicking game. Can coach and prepare the kids. And speed to all of that. Hell, even the coaching staff is fast. When I see that with my own eyes. I will believe it. I haven't seen many teams in the last 10 yrs. (other than Gretna) blessed with those combinations. Having said all that Appo wins by a FG!!!!!

Oh ok then buffalo gap beat them to get to appo ! What happen because the gap was really down and told everyone in appo was just glad to be there ! Sounds like goochland just didn't show up for that one . Just trying to figure out why a team that was undefeated I believe can not be prepared for a lower seed because they coming to jugernot this week and better be ready or they will get run out by halftime !
I can tell you how Goochland got ousted last year by Greenville. The ever important turnover battle. Goochland had 4 turnovers inside the red zone. I believe 3 were inside the 10 yard line. The Goochland squad this year is much improved over last years squad. Have you (Stabler) seen Goochland play any games? I know the Appomattox Raiders are the team to beat. Their title and their record does not lie. I never boast about my "Dog's" but I really like what the defense has done this year. Appomattox has an awesome team and they do deserve the praise and recognition that they receive. I hope it is a competitive game and i will be here win or lose.
Goochland last year was not undefeated and was young. Like I said before we don't live in the past this year we are undefeated and we will show up to play. For the last time Appo has a great program and so does Goochland be prepared for a game. Either team is capable of winning this one. Good luck take care! Go DOG'S!!!

Goochland was very young last year and were probably slowest I ever saw them but I saw improvement with speed and a little more size to them so I know they're better. Appomattox from what I saw last year to now a bit smaller up front (to me) but quicker on the edge so they make up for it. Everyone is bringing up the past because the only team they have in common is Clarke and down Buckingham. Clarke fans didn't see Appomattox this year so they talk about last year team or Appomattox fans comparing last year's Clarke it's happening all over because how many fans have seen both Goochland and Appomattox up close, I have. I again I believe Appomattox will win. The style Appomattox play, I saw enough from Goochland to believe they can play with them. The style Goochland play, I saw enough from Appomattox to say they can shut them down. You don't have to blow everybody out to be a great team. Both coaches know what they and what they got so that's all that matters. Coach Smith and Coach Fowler are 2 of the best in my eyes so I know they will get the best out of their teams. Is this the only place in the world where you not allowed to have an opinion or allowed to say a team can play with another team? Last I checked we all are giving our options on the game because it hasn't been played yet. Let's enjoy the game for what it is because nobody let's anybody walk to the Semi Finals.
This is true, I know BC personally and we know the same people. We text all the time and we get up with each other at the games. BC has great game IQ, dude need to be coaching. LOL, he has seen the same weakness in Appo that I have seen. Im not going to deny it, but i wouldnt dare post it here. Many of the fans in Appo are silent about it, but it is discussed among ourselves. Here is the thing, every team has a weakness. I dont care if you are a 15-0 State champion team! Coach Smith pounds in these kids heads, "We gotta get better" EVERY WEEK, DAY IN DAY OUT! Coach Smith observes stuff that no one can see. He has pointed stuff out to me throughout the years and I would be like "DANG, I never would have noticed that." Like I said before, we have a GREAT coaching staff, but I bet if you asked them what are our weaknesses to exploit, they could rattle off some. Every team has them, I dont care who you are. Last year's raiders had a few flaws as well. I was talking today with a coach, I said one thing I noticed with Tre Walker gone for the year is our punt return has suffered. Tre would grab that ball with a defender 3 yards from him and run it. That kid has so much heart.
This is true as well, BC did text me that we would dominate both teams. He not just saying it on her after the fact. I know if he told me, he told others as well. Great observation BC, because I wasnt as confident about Union. Giles I knew we was going win convincingly.

All teams have weaknesses. In the last 10 days I have witnessed the best the west has to offer (Giles, Richlands,Graham Union and Appo) all were impressive and all have eaknesses.
I have not seen Goochland or Sturats Draft play. There is any high school teams that can stop an excellent passing attack. Which Appo and Richlands are above the rest by far. If Goochland and SD can somehow stop these potent attacks or have that in their on arsenal, then thay have a shot to be in Salem. Until then I going with Appo and Richlands. I am a firm believer that speed ecpecially in high school will overcome alot of mistakes. Appo and Richlands speed and being well prepared covers that up. If Goochland and SD can operate in the manner then it's GAME On!!!!!!

Yeah, we need to meet up. I always show up a couple hours early to get a good seat. We might as well meet everyone in person before the game to pass the time.

I met a couple of y'all on here at the Amherst game last year we stood in the back of the end zone talking all game. Saw RyanforVt there too.
I have seen 7 of the top 8 in the the west and I am not trying to disrespect anyone but if you were to reseed as of today Graham would be 5 in my opinion as were good but the others looked better. Richlands is definely the clear #2 as I can assure you they have Raiders attention. ( they can score from anywhere on the field). I wish I knew more about SD & Gooch. SD got my attention with beating Riverheads (they are a hard team to stop). I understand Gooch has a good D. The next 2 weeks are going to be fun to watch.
