Does anybody have. Details on this game? The score is what shocked me the most. I thought this would be a good game.

Graham is very talented. I think they found their identity last night. Except for a few long completions, the Grayson qb was running for his life with the pressure put on him by Grahams defense. Grahams running back carried the ball 11 times for 156 yards and 3 TDs. Grahams qb picked them apart. Don't know what else to say. Graham blew a lot of opportunities in the first half with dropped passes. They left a lot of points off of the board. Graham was making good hard contact and played physical for the first time in a while. The sub's played the entire 4th quarter. It was not a competitive contest at all. Way too much speed for Grayson to handle. A key sequence in the third quarter was when Graham forced and returned two fumbles for TDs on 2 consecutive plays on their way to a 28 point 4th quarter. This team is improving each week. New coach, new offensive and defensive scheme. .. Hopefully it will all come together before the end of the regular season. Lots of talent on Grahams team.

Prognosticator. Sounds like from what I hear Galax will get another loss this week. What's your thoughts about this game?

I think it will be a competitive game. One of Graham's key defenders, Middle linebcker, got ejected for apparantly clapping too aggressively after a Graham touchdown, (Bogus Call) so he will be not be available and that hurts a lot. Galax always seems to have Graham's number. If Graham's defense doesn't show up (which has happened more often than not this year)....then I say it will be a high scoring affair and anybody's game. If the Defense shows up and plays like they did against Bluefield and Grayson, then Graham wins. They have a legit D-1 Running back in Jamorya Cousin (had an official visit with Tech 2 weeks ago), but he had been hampered with an injury slowing him down since week 3. He is back and is nearly 100 percent. Graham's qb has been on the money for the past 2 weeks and has tucked and ran for positive yardage as well when pressured and has been making good decisions. He is a hard nosed kid and he is aggressive. Seems like things are starting to come together for this team, they can be very dangerous come playoff time.

Defense has been the big issue there for a while, if they get a handle on the D, then they will be a tough out for anybody.

All that being said, Galax seems to have Graham's number and I expect a good game.

Wow! Any team at this 1A/2A level with a D1 player is hard to beat. Let's hope the weather is good for this weeks games.

Is Galax playing Graham this week? If so, where is the game? I'll either go see this one or Giles/Radford.

At Mitchell Stadium, in Bluefield, WV. These two always put on a good show against each other, with the exception of 2 years ago when Graham's defense decided not to show up against Stephen Peoples who is now at Virginia Tech. Graham's defense had better show up. I have no doubt that Graham will score points now that Cousin is healthy and the QB is throwing to 3 other guys who have 4.5 speed....offense has been clicking the past 2 weeks. Defense however....is another story...Graham faithful have been longing for the days of Coach Carlock and his stingy defense since his passing in 2005. They have shown glimpses of having good defense in a couple of games, tackling has been an issue. Last week, the defense did a stellar job, however. The Lineplay is getting better as well. The QB had no time early in the season, of course they did have to play Richlands, Bluefield, Abingdon and Giles early on and that had a lot to do with it.

That stadium is great to watch a game. I would suggest everybody who has never been to this stadium to make it a bucket list. Fall foliage will be beautiful this week also. Food is good also.

graham will never get back to their "glory" days as long as they have adminastrators and parents who meddle.

Everyone that has never seen a game at Mitchell and is within driving distance and loves high school football should go there. It is a wonderful place to watch a game ! Not a bad seat in the house. This should be a good ballgame.
Good luck to our Tazewell county brothers this week !
