Greensville ended the six-year drought against Brunswick by blasting the Bulldogs 63-43 in Emporia tonight. Playing before a sellout crowd that arrived in early afternoon, the Eagles stayed in control until Brunswick cut a 20-point lead to 8 with 4 minutes left. However, the shots stopped falling and Brunswick had to foul.
Hats off to the Eagles for a superb performance, These two will meet again (probably several times) this year and they are now tied for the Tri-Rivers lead.
GO BULLDOGS!
