Grundy Golden Wave (17-3) standout PF Corey Keene signed a letter of intent Monday to play basketball at Emory and Henry College. Keene began his career at Honaker High School before transferring to Grundy last season. Keene is averaging 15 ppg. and is a excellent compliment to his frontcourt partner and Va. Class 1A State POY candidate Cade Looney (6'7 Jr.) .Keene is considered a stretch four for the Golden Wave as he can consistently hit the 3 point shot but his biggest contributions to the team is that he is a lockdown defender who rebounds well and is a decent shot blocker.
