GW Danville loses one of the top 27s in the state

Rising sophomore and 2025 C4 All State 2nd teamer Isaac Smith is headed to Hargrave Military. Huge blow for Danville. Coach Parker (wrongfully) let go last year and he and the staff at Hargrave get (probably) the biggest transfer in Hargrave’s varsity program’s history.

Yep and also losing 6'5 2028 Jamarian Chaney as well. This will be the 3rd good underclassmen player lost to Hargrave in recent months and it is apparently related to conflicts with the current coach at GW.

It’s really bad. First Micah Gunter (led Greensboro Day to a state championship this past year as a freshman), then LJ Warren and now Isaac and J Chaney (former GW star JC Chaney’s son). We’ve never had a transfer problem like this in Danville and to Hargrave??? That’s a multiple state championship team that’s left.
