Honaker High School's Grayson Honaker scored 30 points last Thursday night in a loss to Virginia High making him the new all time leading scorer in school history. The junior guard now has 1,845 career points. Honaker's record comes with an * as of right now considering former Honaker Tiger and Marshall Thundering Herd big man Tanner Robinette scored 2,001 points and grabbed 1,500 rebounds during his career but some of Robinette's points came during his freshman year at Lebanon High School. Honaker is expected to surpass the 2,000 point mark next season. Earlier in the season Grayson Honaker shot his way into the Virginia High School League record book after hitting a state record 17 3-pointers. Honaker finished the game with 62 points as the Tigers dropped a 97-82 decision to the Claiborne Bulldogs.
