how do points work for playoff seeding?

is it worth playing a team with 0 wins for a second time?
I think if you're asking about GW, getting a forfeit from a winless Auburn team is no better than actually playing a winless team. You know the GW guys would rather play and get 2 wins this year against a county rival

It depends on what your rating is at when you play that opponent.

If GW is at 16.01 or higher at the time of the game, then it will hurt their rating. But if they are at 15.99 or lower at the time, then it will increase their rating.

As of the last VHSL ratings, GW was over 16, so playing and winning or getting a forfeit from a winless 1a school hurts their overall rating. They would be better off just having the game be a no contest

My buddy said they are playing fort Chiswell a second time. So not sure how that will work points wise.

Fort Chiswell is 1a, so they receive 16 points for classification, and 2 points for every one of FC victories. I am seeing FC is 0-9, so they get 16 points total if they win. If they lose to FC, they would get 5 points total (for this week), and 1 for the previous game.

If the opponent was a 1a team that was 3-6, they would get 22 points for a win, or 8 for a loss

Any chance they can jump parry?

I am not familiar enough with their points to say (I do points in 2a), but if they are even a little behind already. I would say no.

And I just looked, they have no chance to pass PM, even with a PM loss.
I just looked up PM schedule. Looks like they are 7-3 with a game still to play against East Montgomery. Is that correct? I didn't think anybody played 11 regular season games

I don't think so. Giles has a win over a 4A and a 2A team. All PM's wins are against 1A teams.
I didn't think they could but really wasn't positive....now just to see who we play in round 1

Also if we beat glenvar could we pass Galax as #1 seed?....but I don't think we beat glenvar fwiw
