2016 Guard Isaiah Bethel has picked up an offer from Division 1 and Big South Conference member High Point University during a tournament in South Carolina. Bethel, who has been on the varsity team for 3 years, made a name for himself as a lockdown defender and established himself as GW's go-to guy during the 2015/16 season. Bethel, a 5'10 guard, has a couple of more D-1 offers on the way so it should be a fun couple of weeks for him. GW, who lost Bethel to graduation, will also lose rising senior and 6th man PG Camryn Lewis to Hargrave Military Academy. Cam was responsible for numerous big shots in GW's run to the state semi's this year where they lost to the state champion, Monacan Chiefs, at the buzzer. Cam Lewis, a 6'2 guard, was projected to be the starting PG for GW Danville this upcoming season. GW will still return 3 starters and some key role players this season, but Lewis's absence could be felt as the season goes along. Lewis has interest from a couple of schools, but no offers yet.
