I did not know that ... only 3 State titles in baseball for LOCO schools.

And the coaches were ...

... Bootsie Leonard (Loudoun Valley, '72), Mike Nunally (Park View, '84), and Wayne Todd (Broad Run, 91). Valley's was won on their home field (Purcellville Fireman's Field), Park View's on their old school field (at the high school, heck, they still might play there), and Broad Run's at old Memorial Stadium (no longer there) in Harrisonburg.

Re: And the coaches were ...

I might add that Loudoun Valley ('72) defeated the Tunstall Trojans (same team that Sherando defeated for its state title) to win the State Championship. That was only the 2nd year that Baseball had State Championships. Prior to that, the districts were as far as the playoffs went. Tunstall was then coached by the legendary Jack "Bear" Bryant. Bryant's Tunstall teams were usually district champs and went on to capture the AA State Title in 1976.

Another LV team that was very good but could not get to state

... was the 1980 Vikings. That team was loaded with talent. The top pitchers were Chuck Stevens and Kirk Marsh and catcher Steve Robinette was first-team all-Group AA that year and played in the VHSCA all-star game that summer. The team had speed with Alan Mallory at the top and playing center field and plenty of other good bats in the lineup, including outfielder David Potts, shortstop Mike Sustek (went on to punt for Virginia Tech) and the Rose brothers (Mark at second and Donny at first) on the right side of the infield. The team was coached by Archie Moore, who was in second season leading LV after taking over for former football coaching legend Mike Barton. I can't remember their record, by I do believe they did not lose more than one game during the regular season (and it was out-of-district) and went 9-0 in the NWD, including a thrilling 1-0 win over George Mason at PFF when Marsh outdueled Bob Tuthill. The Vikings could have went far and definitely were state contenders that year, but they got upset by Park View in the district semifinal round at home, ending their season. Back then, only the top four teams made the district tournament and only the tournament champ that year moved onto the Region II playoffs. Ironically George Mason went unbeaten in the post season and won the AA championship over Martinsville. It was George Mason's final year in AA, and the school has been in the Group A Bull Run District since the fall of 1980.

I really believe that this Loudoun Valley team was one of the best never to win a state championship.

Nice post but too bad I have no ideas who those guys are that you mentioned lol
