Incident at EC Glass last night

I know this isn’t related to football but wanted to make the post. I was at the basketball gym at EC Glass last night watching Albemarle play EC Glass in the Hilltoppers season opener. A young man for Albemarle took a hard fall and slammed his head on the court. Some people then helped him over to the bleachers. About 10 minutes later or so this same young man collapsed on the ground and appeared to have a seizure. An ambulance was called to the scene and the young man was taken away on a stretcher. The game was called after the incident which occurred in the mid 3rd quarter. It was very much the right thing to do to call the game. Let’s all pray for this young man. I certainly hope he is ok

Per social media, the Albemarle player is doing well and is in recovery. Seems fully functional and while it was a scary situation, seems like good news for the player and family given the circumstances.

Good on you going out to a quality game like that - two teams that should be very strong in hoops this winter. For sure the right call to cancel the game and I am glad the kid is doing well. Sorry you were there to see it, I was watching online.
