Here’s a look at the first Fab 15 football poll of the season. For the first time, the poll also includes teams from the Peninsula.
1. Indian River (94)
Braves have plenty of talent and motivation after region final loss
2. Maury (91)
Commodores are loaded and will make another strong run at region title
3. Oscar Smith (87)
Tigers first-year coach Chris Scott looking to continue program’s dominance
4. Lake Taylor (86)
Titans led by running back Malik Newton, tough defense
5. Ocean Lakes (72)
Dolphins graduated a lot of talent, but expect them to contend for district title
6. Phoebus (70)
Phantoms QB Chris Daniels tries to lead Phoebus to an 8th state title
